After the park closed on April 25, 2004, a heritage order for the Bush Beast was submitted to Blacktown council in June 2004.

The yellow Bush Beast train was sitting at the top of the lift hill.

All 14 Bush Beast and 10 Beastie carriages where moved out to the maintenance area by one of the wonderland maintenance staff still working at wonderland after it’s closure.

A cyclone fence went up around the Bush Beast while the Heritage Order for the Bush Beast was being reviewed by Blacktown Council.

Bush Beast was demolished, it was 19 years, 9 months and 23 days old, half its expected age!
The trains remained out the back of the property.

The Bush Beast and Beastie trains were found out at O’Neill’s Adventureland, a small amusement park located in Edmondson Park, New South Wales, Australia.


21 June 2012
Wonderland History went out to O’Neill’s Adventureland to inquire about purchasing the Bush Beast and Beastie trains.




















24 January 2013
Wonderland History purchased all 4 Bush Beast and Beastie trains for $6,000. After publicly raising $2,000 the founder of Wonderland History donated the remaining $4,000 to purchase the trains plus paid to have them transported from O’Neill’s Adventureland in Edmondson Park NSW to a temporary location in Londonderry.

The trains were moved to one of our Wonderland History storage facilities at Rooty Hill – one of our admins back yards 🙂




















March 2018
14 Years since the trains ran on the tracks at Wonderland, the trains were moved again, this time to their forever home, Artisans Park at Bathurst, where they will be restored and placed on permanent display. Artisans Park is in the process of building a station and a section of track, to allow the trains to be rolled out, and the opportunity to have photos taken, in and around the trains.
